A Day in American Fork Canyon

The first time we went up American Fork Canyon was two years ago, it is seriously super close to out home, by the time we leave our front door and enter the pay station I think it takes a total of 20 minutes. I can not believe we never went up there. The first time we hiked Mt. Timp. cave and last year we camped twice up there. This year we hope to camp again, but this day we just went to visit Nanny and Papa while they spent last week camping.
We decided to go to Cascade Falls, on the way we saw two moose. They were huge and eating a lot. Sadie was the first to spot this one in the picture and then Ellie saw the second one.

Here is the trail head for Cascade Springs. It isn't very much of a hike, more of a stroll. It was really pretty and amazing that it was all natural. It looked like a planned garden.

The kids taking a break.

The kids falling over from exhaustion.

After Cascade Springs we went back to have lunch at Nanny and Papa's camp spot and then we went up to the lake. We wanted to get a better view, but thought twice about it, however my high adventurous children and Papa went on.

On top of the dam.

We went to go play in the lake and of course the water is still straight snow melt and so it was pretty cold. I couldn't get them all in one picture because the water was too cold to get them to hold still.

Luke and Sadie were getting used to the freezing temp and Lucie and Tommy think they can do what ever the older ones do.

We made a caterpillar a friend and not so happily left it behind.

What a fun day we had, I can't wait to go up again.
