Ammie turned 2 a few days before the Fourth, but we had kind of a crazy week that we postponed her celebration until we were all together.
Nanny kindly let us crash her Fourth of July BBQ so we could do her birthday.
Thanks Evan for the cute hat. You look good in it but I think Ammie has you beat.

Birthdays were kept really simple this year, as I sat and watch her open her few presents I saw how little her presents meant compared to the attention her brothers and sisters gave her. I honestly have never seen her so happy then this moment when all of them were surrounding her and giving her all their attention.

She had this smile as a
permanent fixture the entire night.

When we sang "Happy Birthday" to her, she sang right along singing "happy, happy, happy."

Ellie, Luke and Sadie, baked the cupcakes and decorated them. They used a blue gel pin and so we all ended up with blue lips.
After the birthday celebration everyone showed up for the BBQ! YUM!!!!! After the BBQ we had homemade ice cream and an amazing firework show thanks to Evan, Papa, John, surrounding neighbors and the new Utah law that allows us to have more than fountains!

Sparklers are always the biggest hit.

Tommy's fake scared look.

Lucie was a
little nervous at the
beginning but quickly got over it.

Sadie is never shy when it comes to Fire!

Ellie is still young enough to enjoy them. Ammie on the other hand stayed as far away from them as possible.

Nanny and Papa enjoying the action.

So I wasn't very good at getting pictures of every one. So here is Jen and
Kelton, John and the other boys are way to active to ever get a picture.

And cute Lauren, again just like John, I think Evan is off having fun with the kids.
